GERD is a digestive disorder in which gastric juices and fluids flow back from stomach to esophagus. This backflow of stomach juices can irritate the lining of esophagus. It can affect the people of all ages. It’s an estimation that more than 60 million people in America have heart burn once in month and more than 15 million have heart burn every day.

Often people experience it time to time but GERD considered mild when it occurs twice a week while in severe cases frequency of acid reflex increases. Burning sensation after meals, which might be worse at night, chest pain, difficult in swallowing, sensation of obstructed throat are common symptoms. In night acid reflex patient can experience laryngitis, cough, disrupted sleep or asthma.
